Plymouth Christian Youth Center’s strategic plan for the Capri Theater calls for a commitment to “youth development with a heavy emphasis on youth engagement woven into every aspect of Capri operations and programming.” Today the Capri Theater has an active youth arts program that includes the following programs:

Capri After School Theater (CAST): A year-long program for high school-age youth under the artistic direction of Kevin D. West. CAST students delve into all aspects of theater and produce performances at the end of each session (fall, winter, spring, summer).

Capri Glee Youth Choir: K-5 youth sing joyful, fun, age-appropriate music and learn new music skills under the direction of Dennis Spears.

Summer Camp Capri: A five-week arts camp for middle school-age youth dedicated to students’ personal growth through a broad range of experiences in the arts.  Summer Camp Capri runs for five weeks from early July to mid August.

Freedom of Xpression Open Mic: Students of all ages are encouraged to bring their art to the Capri stage on the first Monday of every month during the school year.

Camp Capri S3: Middle schoolers meet to explore the arts on the third Saturday of every month during the school year.
