How much does it cost to rent the Capri?

Rental Cost
 We start with a base rate of $500 for a five-hour block of time. This fee includes:

  • The services of our Production & Tech Coordinator during your show.
  • Basic use of our lighting and sound systems (including mics).
  • Use of the full first floor of the Capri Theater, which includes the lobby, our dance room and our small confections kitchen.
  • We also list your event on our website (Capri Calendar) and post your event on our marquee one week prior to your event.

NOTE: Over the years we’ve found that most two-hour events require our clients to be onsite for five hours allowing for time to set up the lobby, the tech systems required for the event in the auditorium and post-event clean up and load out

What if I need more time for rehearsals and set up?

Additional Time
We are happy to schedule as much time as you need to prepare for your event. We charge $75 per hour for additional time.

Can I rent the Capri all day or for a week?

What are the requirements for renting the Capri Theater?

Rental Requirements
The following are our requirements for renting the Capri:

  1. A non-refundable reservation deposit (applied to your rental fee).
  2. Proof of liability insurance coverage. (We require our clients to maintain commercially reasonable liability insurance, in an amount not less than $100,000 per occurrence and $300,000 aggregate.) We cannot arrange liability insurance for you. Please contact your insurance agent to arrange coverage for your event, or check out this online service: theeventhelper.com.)
  3. A signed rental agreement. (Click here to download sample document. Once we receive your rental request, we prepare this agreement for you.)

A damage deposit may also be required especially for events and shows requiring more extensive use of our tech systems and the installations of sets on stage, etc.

Please note: We cannot guarantee your Capri reservation until all three items listed above (and the damage deposit, if required) are submitted to us. Please do not announce or publicize your event at the Capri until these items have been submitted to PCYC.

May I rent just the lobby for a meeting or reception? Or the dance room for a class or rehearsal?

Rental Use
Yes! We do rent the lobby and dance room separately. Rental rates vary depending on scope and hours of activity.

Please note: Due to its proximity to the lobby and auditorium, it’s difficult for us to make the dance room available for regularly scheduled classes or rehearsals.

What forms of payment do you accept for my rental of the Capri?

Accepted Payment Options
We accept checks payable to Plymouth Christian Youth Center, credit cards and cash. Final payments are due two weeks in advance of your rental.

Rental Request Form
To begin the process, we ask that you fill out our online rental request form. This provides us with the basic information we need to respond to your rental inquiry. We strive to respond to all rental inquiries within one business day.

As you consider dates for your event, keep in mind that the Capri Calendar on our website doesn’t reflect all upcoming reservations.  We don’t post events on our web calendar until we receive signed contracts and information from our rental clients.
