With the health and safety of SPCO audiences, musicians, staff and communities in mind, and in close consultation with a team of medical experts, The SPCO has made the difficult decision to cancel all SPCO concerts for the remainder of the 2020.21 season.

While it is disappointing that SPCO musicians can’t gather with audiences for the rest of this season, they’ll continue to share the orchestra and the music digitally during this time. In lieu of concerts with live audiences in attendance, SPCO musicians will perform from the Ordway Concert Hall with no audience on site, and these performances will be streamed through our free online Concert Library via our multicamera high-definition video system, with audio provided by Classical Minnesota Public Radio.

Remaining livestreamed performances will be held on March 20, April 10, May 8 and 22, and June 12. Programming for these livestreams will be announced soon. Our entire Concert Library, which includes on-demand recordings of 62 concerts and 124 compositions, will continue to be available free of charge, as well.

And from the Capri — a hearty thank you to all who’ve joined us at the Capri over the last 11 years for the SPCO’s chamber concerts and musical events for children and families.  A big, heartfelt thank you to everyone at Sanctuary Covenant Church, too, for so graciously welcoming The SPCO and Capri staff, musicians, and audiences to your marvelous space while we were closed for construction and as a result of COVID during the 2019-20 season. We appreciate you, good neighbors!

We so look forward to welcoming everyone back for exquisite music performed by extraordinary musicians in the intimate setting of the Capri.

Take good care.

Our Community Partnership with SPCO

The Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra firmly believes that building authentic, long-term relationships is vital to the work of serving the community and connecting more people to the transformational music they perform.

This treasured partnership has offered both organizations the opportunity to engage new audiences in innovative ways, and to inspire the next generation to appreciate the beauty of classical music.
